Lauren's Latest Dress

Hubby and my sons just got back from a "boys trip" to Minnesota.  They had fun visiting family.

While they were gone, Lauren and I put the little girls to bed and stayed up late watching Project Runway.

It is so fun to see the creativity on there, and Lauren has gotten plenty of ideas for new dresses.

This is her latest dress.  The underskirt is a vintage wedding slip/skirt she got at an antique store.

The over skirt is covered in cards.  The pink ruffly waistband is from a different skirt she was making.

But she decided she didn't like it.  She made that from vintage satiny fabric.

She made the ruffles out of the vintage fabric and tulle.

The side~ she put in three zippers.  The black one is just for looks encasing the pink zipper.  The blue zipper is the one that works to zip up the dress.

There is the vintage wedding slip peeking out on the side.
