Found and a coupon for my etsy shop!

I just love when I find little things that make me smile.  Here are my latest finds......

I found this BLOG from pinterest.  I watched her Top Knot Tutorial and have been wearing my hair this way.  She is super cute and its funny I think of myself still in my 20's but um, I have a son her age.  She is 23 and has a little boy.  Then I realized that it may not be too long before I am a grandma my child has a child.  Yes I prefer that much better to the *g* word.  No way, no how, am I ready to enter g-hood.

My sister and I have been going to IKEA every few weeks.  We buy a little something for the house each time.  I saw this ORANGE CHAIR and fell in love. Then I sat in this orange chair and fell deeper in love.  The back is slightly reclined so it makes for a cozy reading spot.  I want it very badly.  But my thrifty side is saying wait till it is in the current Ikea Family Discounts.  Hopefully that will be soon.

My second son, Nic, has become obsessed with Sriracha Sauce. He stayed at our house recently with his sisters while hubby and I were out of town .... my oldest daughter became obsessed also.  So I was excited when I found this Sriracha dress at 50% off!  Sold.

I am about to share my most wonderful find!  Ready??  Hail Merry Chocolate Miracle Tart!  The most decadent treat ever.  I realize that I linked you up to the expensive pack of 12.  BUT, they have them in single portions at Whole Foods.  Only $4.99 each.  I know, I know, that is still expensive, but you can make each tart last 4 days, if you can control yourself.  What really makes these a miracle is that they are good for you!!

So, do you like my finds?  I really do.  You know what else?  I love it when I find something on sale!  Here is my Thanksgiving weekend coupon for my ETSY SHOP.  In case you did not know, I changed my shop name from lollipookiesoap to prudynan.

I don't like the name black Friday or cyber Monday... I much prefer PINK.  Use code PINK25 for 25% off this weekend, starting Friday Nov. 29 and ending Monday Dec. 2.
Coupon may not be used on previous purchases or custom orders.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I am so thankful for my followers and customers!

Vintage Finds

A couple weeks ago I had some time to kill and I went into an antique store.......  I'm sure many of you can start a conversation the same way :)  So I found lots of things to buy.  I ended up getting only what I couldn't leave behind.

First, is a vintage airline luggage rack with 4 wheels on the bottom.  I saw it and knew it would be perfect to hold fabric in my sewing studio (if it ever gets finished)...  So while I am waiting for my sewing space to be done, I'm using it in my family room.  I also could use it in my laundry room.

I knew I couldn't get it home by myself, but my son has a truck so I texted him *secretly*, not wanting my husband to get wind just yet.  Well wouldn't you know it, my son was out to lunch with my husband when he got my text!!  He totally threw me under the bus!

What I have all my yarn in, is an industrial basket.  I just love it, looks like a big pasta strainer for commercial use!
I am not sure how I am going to arrange things on it yet.  I would like to put all my vintage books on it.  I need to decide.  I just haven't had time lately.

I also found two vintage orange chairs.  The original tag says they are custom made by a company in Minneapolis.  The upholstery is in such good shape I am not going to recover them.  Besides, I love orange!

The other chair is in my bedroom.  They are so comfy.  I sit in this one and put my cup of tea on the green table and crochet.

I have a sale going on in my etsy shop www.lollipookiesoap.etsy.com it is going to end on Tuesday, January 29!  Coupon code is COLD20 for 20% off!
Have a great weekend!  It is so cold here, I am not thinking right.  How about you, what's the weather where you live?

Pretties

                                                                                   etsy

I would love a pretty pink cardigan made from this. It looks so soft and warm.  I looooove the color.

These paper party cups are so cute!  I imagine them filled with pastel mints.

I love the idea of using vintage music sheets or vintage book pages to make things and wrap things in.  I have used vintage music sheets to wrap etsy purchases in that I send out.  It is so pretty and a fun suprise to see when you open the package!

And if this doesn't make you smile and brighten your day, then nothing will!

Have a great day!

My Yellow Chandelier!

Well I finally did it, I found a chandelier.  I had discovered this chandelier in a magazine a long time ago and then forgot about it.  Until..................after 300 pages of online light surfing, I refound it!

It came in many colors, but I chose yellow.  Of course the shades were extra, sometime soon I will get them.

I love it, I think it's me, and it will look even better with shades.  If you would like to know where I purchased this light, please e-mail me.  It has been quite a fiasco.  And this light is not the best quality,  by all means I should be returning it, but I love it so much and cannot find it at any other store.

Over the weekend we celebrated Portia's golden birthday, her 10th.  It's not really until Tuesday but....
She wanted her barbie cake again and she designed her outfit and hair ribbon.  What do you think?

Guess what?  I signed up for  cake decorating class!  For the next 4 Tuesday night's I will be taking a basic cake decorating class and I'm kind of excited.  It is hard for me to do this by myself, but I decided to do it!  Wish me luck!

FOUND!

I follow the blog Dreamy Whites, I found it one day after I had decided to go with all white in our new home.  Today I found these fabulous pillows through a link on her blog.  I love them!

So in my new house I am painting almost all the inside, Cotton Balls by Benjamin Moore, 'cept Benjamin Moore is to expensive so the painter is color matching and I hope, I really do, that the color match is MATCHED.  Because I am IN LOVE with Cotton Balls!!  I don't know why, but I am.  Why you ask am I hiring a painter when I can paint myself?  Because our new house has 12 ft ceilings and I am afriad of heights, that's why.  AND, my husband is tired of seeing paint all over our baseboards.

I have also found that eggs, fresh from a neighbors chicken, are fabulous!  There is absolutely no comparison!!!  Look, there is even a blue egg!  And there was a white feather on one egg!  The yolks are a bright, bright orangy yellow.

And this egg had a double yolk!  I screamed when I saw it, for some reason I was super excited, it made my day.  See it doesn't take much to make me happy!  My hubby isn't so sure though.....

Look what I found on my driveway!  A 3 year olds impression in chalk of a cow.  LOVE it.

                                                                             Said artist.

Then I turned around and found her dancing, oh if only we could all be so carefree and tra la la-ish as a 3 year old little girl.  They are dreamy and sing songy and full of wonder.

And I get all sing songy and happy just watching her play outside in the sunshine!

Found

Yesterday morning the sun came out!  I said to Sophie.... should we go out today?  She agreed.  We went to the thrift shop and here is what we found....

I love vintage 100% cotton sheets.  Not the synthetic cotton, these are the real deal, crisp, clean, 100% cotton.  I found this stack of them!  And a couple of pink towels, yes I washed them on the sanitary cycle.

I also found a couple 2010 House Beautiful magazines for .50 each and a vintage coloring book for Sophie.  A new sundress for Portia too, for only $2.47.

So in my quest for a sugar free, grain free, dairy free (sort of), caffine free life..............I found this herbal coffee.  No caffine, no acid, it's really yummy!  And LOOK, coconut milk coffee creamer!!  It's so yummy I can't even believe I'm sacrificing real coffee and creamer!  It's also a good way to get off caffine, you just add in more and more herbal coffee everyday till that all your drinking.  Make it in your regular coffee maker.

Look at these luscious cupcakes.  Ok these are full of all things bad, would you like the recipe?  Maybe on Friday!

I found these pictures on my camera.............

That was my favorite find of the day.  The weather has turned against me, I woke up today to a forcast of SNOW for tomorrow!  Oh I hope it's not true, it's maddening. Lord, please send spring.

Found

I just found out that my scale is 5 pounds light...great.

I just found this present...

A Good Plan in Black OR Cream - 20x20 CAFE MOUNTS

For my hubby and I, for our 18th anniversary next week.

When we moved to Oregon 8 1/2 years ago, my dad gave me a framed picture of the same verse.

I thought it was only fitting to update it, since we are starting the new year waiting on God to reveal his plans to us!

You can find more verses here.

I LOVE this artwork!

Last night I found happiness in a silly conversation through e-mails with my best friend.

I also found, Selling New York, on my TV schedule and DVR'd it.  I love that show!  It's on HGTV, and it's about selling apartments in New York.  The decor is amazing, I will be copying it for my new abode.

I also find it slightly amazing how much those apartments are!

The biggest thing I have found lately is.......

Peace in the unknown..

OK,  maybe I am having a tad bit of a patience problem.

I do not like to wait for answers, I do not like the unknown hanging over my head.

But in the midst of all the unknowns right now, there is a sense of Peace, knowing that God is in control.

Have you "found" anything lately?
